OMG webinar will explore how to achieve business transformation through business architecture
BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2013 – MEGA, leading provider of enterprise architecture (EA) solutions, will present a webinar Thursday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. EDT, to provide tips on how to translate business strategy into action plans and measurable results.
The Object Management Group (OMG), an international industry standards consortium, is hosting the event. MEGA has worked with the OMG for several years to develop and review various technology standards.
The session will help enterprise and business architects, IT professionals who have a stake in business strategy, and managers and directors of transformation projects learn how to initiate a business architecture program.
Speaker William Ulrich is president of TSG, Inc. and co-founder of the Business Architecture Guild, which produces A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BIZBOK).
“A viable business strategy is fundamental to the success of organizations facing increased competition, shifting customer demands, regional and global challenges, new markets and economic pressures,” explained Ulrich. “However, just having a strategy is not enough. Organizations must be able to execute against that strategy and demonstrate quantifiable results.”
The webinar will address:
- strategy mapping and business visioning
- business-driven roadmap formulation
- business / IT transformation
“Through our work with companies worldwide, we understand that the challenge facing management is how to turn business strategy into corporate advantages,” noted Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “Business architecture helps organizations interpret business strategy in tangible ways that can be adopted as well-coordinated and clearly articulated business improvement initiatives.”
MEGA’s EA and business architecture solutions help companies describe, understand, and optimize organizational structures, business processes and assets. Through this, enterprises can align business operations with strategy and effectively govern business transformation.
The company’s solutions – EA, business architecture, application portfolio management and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) – are tightly aligned through its signature technology platform, HOPEX.
